In just six short years, through impactful and intentional initiatives, we’ve made a difference to thousands of citizens living in Central Mississippi. Our programs impact include:

STEAM Education: Our Robotics Clubs empower students to explore engineering and coding concepts by designing and building robots, fostering creativity and teamwork. The STEAM Spring Break and Summer Camps immerse participants in activities like coding, 3D printing, and digital art using Artificial Intelligence, offering a fun and enriching alternative to traditional breaks. Additionally, our quarterly STEAM Family Fun Day brings families together to create an environment where learning becomes a shared family journey.
OATS: An affiliate of AARP, the Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) bridge the digital divide for citizens age 50 and above. Since launching OATS earlier this year, we have graduated three cohorts. This free 10-week course, featuring the Senior Planet curriculum, empowers older adults with essential digital skills.
Classes and Clubs: Led by industry experts, our weekly Makerspace classes include immersive experiences with sewing, ceramics, jewelry making, drone flying, and 3D printing, blending traditional crafts with cutting-edge technology. For those seeking advanced technical knowledge, our offerings include an Adult Robotics Club, Python coding classes, and specialized classes for Artificial Intelligence that are offered free of charge!
Community Space: The 6,000 square foot Bean Path Makerspace is a collaborative, community workspace that empowers local creatives to dream, create, and innovate! The Makerspace has state of the art tools and equipment that’s available to its members. The newly renovated Bean Barn serves as a hub for culture, creativity and community, hosting community events such as yoga, Taste of The Bean, and Magnolia Sunset Market.
Scholarships: Through our Sowing Seed Scholarship, we’ve awarded more than $15,000 to graduating seniors and provided $15,000 in awards to STEAM teachers within the Jackson Public Schools District.

The technology classes are offered at FREE to all participants. That’s only possible because of the generosity of people like you. The Bean Path relies 100% on the financial support of our donors, with the majority coming from private contributions, business sponsorships, and competitive grants.
