The Tuloso Midway Education Foundation was established in 2004 to enhance education at Tuloso Midway ISD. We are a 501 (c)(3) non profit corporation separate from the school district. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors. Our primary mission is to raise funds from the community to support teachers in their efforts to implement innovative classroom instruction that would not be possible with the normal operating budget.

Since 2004, we have awarded over 1 Million dollars in grants to Tuloso Midway teachers. These grants are awarded on a competitive basis and have been implemented at all grade levels and at all campuses. We direct resources toward curriculum in the core subjects, as well as the fine arts and technology initiatives. Grants support a variety of projects, such as:

Writing workshops for4th and 5th graders conducted by a national theatre troupe.
3D printers for STEAM Labs.
Field trip for high school students to visit UT Austin Campus Library
Author visits to encourage students love of reading

The Foundation also sponsors the annual Cum Laude Banquet recognizing the top graduating seniors who, in turn, honor a teacher who has been influential in their education. For the 2024-2025 school year, the Foundation honored 59 graduating seniors and their inspirational teacher.

This year, we’re excited to return to our yearly giving program — a great opportunity for local businesses and community members to make a lasting impact and receive recognition throughout the school year.
