Kindness is a Superpower..

Simple Gifts Project volunteers, like these students from Barclay Elementary and Log College MS Kindness Club, had a blast hand packing care bags in hopes of bringing a smile to others in their time of need. Over the last 8 years, we have traveled to schools and community centers to engage students like these, and hundreds of others, from high/middle school clubs, scout troops, youth groups, and more, to help fulfill our mission. With their help, Simple Gifts Project has donated care bags to over 2000 children (and their families) who were hospitalized for an acute, chronic, or even terminal illness. Kids helping kids is the foundation of our success.

The Superpower of a Smile Bag...

Never estimate the power of a smile! Simple Gifts Project has been leading kindness lessons with 2nd grade students at Barclay Elementary for 3 years as a way to promote kindness, empathy, and caring to young children. During a recent kindness lesson, a student raised her hand and was excited to share that she had received one of our Smile Bags at Doylestown Hospital earlier this year. She shared that it helped her feel better while she waited with her mom in the ER. That is the very reason we started this project: to share a smile, a virtual hug, and a fun surprise during an otherwise tough time. Like a smile exchanged from one person to the next, kindness always finds its way back to those who share it.

The Superpower is Yours...

Our goal is to raise $2000 and donate 500 Smile Bags/Care Bags by the end of 2026 - but we'll only reach that goal through the kindness and generosity of people like you! How will you help spread a smile today?
