Kitchenology is a nonprofit organization that seeks to address food insecurity in the High Point region by focusing on Food As Medicine. Our nonprofit teaching kitchen provides cooking classes and nutrition education that helps families develop basic cooking skills to encourage healthy eating habits that contribute to wellness.

Food education is at the heart of what we do. Our mission is to provide healthy, accessible food to as many people in our community as possible through innovative cooking classes and programs.

We have made great success with our food education efforts this last year, and now more than ever, it’s essential that we expand our reach in order to truly make a difference in the Carolina Core region. This means investing in a new residential teaching kitchen; ingredients and equipment; offering scholarships for those who can't afford our services; creating educational materials like recipe books or pamphlets; hosting informative forums about nutrition and healthful lifestyles; providing opportunities for student interns and volunteers; organizing special events such as food markets or appreciation dinners - all which help invest in the future of sustainable practices that empower our communities to become healthier!
