I did not know what to expect when I signed up to M2M in 2024. I knew I enjoyed cycling and helping others through fundraising. I had a connection to the Air Force through my dad. And I was told I didn't have to take any time off work to do the ride, so I was sold. At the end of day 4, making the turn to arrive at the Air Force memorial, I came away with so much more than I could have imagined. I can cycle much further than I thought. Finishing my first century, riding to the end on Day 4, somehow making it to the top of hill after hill, all made me realize "I got this." The Air (and Space) Force people are great and very welcoming. From when we first landed in Norfolk and met Murph and were thrown into a van with a bunch of strangers to cruising at 18 mph in a paceline I told them I was too slow for, the interactions and camaraderie was second to none. And I found a new way to help make a difference by supporting the WAGP. We were fortunate to hear from a woman who was also riding M2M tell her inspirational story. While I didn't doubt fundraising for the WAGP would be helpful to others, being able to meet someone really drove home the importance. I hope you will consider joining me!
