Together, We Made a Difference in 2025

With your support, Franciscan Peacemakers continued our 30 year mission to provide compassionate presence and practical help to women on Milwaukee’s streets. Through the end of October:

Outreach Ministry distributed 748 bag lunches, 246 hygiene kits, and 434 doses of narcan - continuing our 30-year presence of care and connection on the streets.
The Hospitality Center on Lisbon Avenue welcomed guests five days a week, offering hundreds of women rest, food, and conversation — a first step toward healing. We served 405 hot meals, 2148 bag lunches, and 858 hygiene kits - already exceeding 2024 numbers!
Clare Community planted permanent roots in the heart of Milwaukee with a beautiful new home - providing 958 safe nights of sleep and 70 hours of counseling for women rebuilding their lives in our two year, trauma-informed housing and support program.
The Social Enterprise employed and trained women in recovery, producing our handmade soaps, lotions, and candles — each one a symbol of dignity restored. Program participants and graduates have earned $55,500 year to date - representing 30% growth over 2024

Erin’s New Beginning

We’ve served Erin* in the Hospitality Center for years. She was quiet, patient, and had a beautiful smile. Two days after her 62nd birthday, Erin made a courageous decision: to seek treatment and begin healing. We were honored to be part of that moment — helping her get into a detox facility where she could begin her recovery journey.

Since early October, Erin has remained in treatment, focusing on her health and future. And though she’s not living with us, we continue to walk with her — bringing her clothing, hygiene items, and notes of encouragement to remind her she’s not alone.

We may not know the timeline, but we persist in prayer for recovery. Erin reminds us that it’s never too late to choose healing.
