INTRO

Welcome to HikeGood, a donation-based and family-friendly community hike open to all. HikeGood is led by Rebecca Watson and Calvin Walker. For the first hike of the month, we will be exploring the Griffith Park Old LA Zoo Loop on Saturday April 12th at 8:30AM. Be sure to arrive early to account for parking and finding the group! We will be meeting near the trailhead around the Merry Go Round Lot 1. Please use the coordinates below to find the correct location. If you search for the LA Zoo, you will arrive at the wrong location.

Coordinates to the Merry Go Round Lot 1 parking lot near the trailhead: (34.13164° N, 118.28343° W). Please arrive early for parking time and finding group. Trail Specs: 2.5 mile loop, hike time 1.5 hours, elevation gain 377 ft. Mostly paved, but there are some rugged areas and a small section of stairs. Strollers are possible with assistance. Family-friendly. Bring water, snacks, proper shoes, sunglasses, and sun protection. Dogs are welcome, but a leash is required for this trail.
