We are raising $180,000 to keep the Gaza Soup Kitchen running during the High Holy Days 5787.

Tragically, the starvation crisis in Gaza has only worsened in 2026. The Israeli government introduced new requirements for international aid organizations, which caused groups like World Central Kitchen to greatly reduce or cease operations in Gaza. Smaller local organizations like the Gaza Soup Kitchen are more crucial than ever.

Feeding thousands of people a day in the middle of unimaginable loss isn't just logistics; it is thousands of daily acts of refusal to let despair win. The work of Gaza Soup Kitchen is solidarity and love expressed as a hot plate of food, a gesture that says: you are seen, you are loved, and you are not forgotten.

This Tzedakah campaign is also a practice of solidarity toward collective safety and freedom for all people. Through acts of tzedakah we bring more justice into the world, bind ourselves to others, and bring us closer to a world redeemed.

The cost of the Gaza Soup Kitchen’s operations is $15,000 per day to run seven kitchens throughout Gaza. This Tzedakah Campaign will allow the Gaza Soup Kitchen to continue their operations during the aseret yimei teshuvah, the ten days of repentance from Rosh HaShannah to Yom Kippur.
