During the event we will present NY4CA's 2024 Awards to elected officials and artists/arts advocates who help our vision to thrive and who make New York City the cultural epicenter that it is. This year’s awardees include culture heroes and advocates: Emmy winning journalist, filmmaker, and author working on behalf of trafficked women across the globe, Ruchira Gupta; A gifted and unrelenting creative force in the development and maintenance of cultural spaces in NYC, Cora Cahan; Tony Award winning theater and film director, George C. Wolfe; and culture champion and New York City Council Member Justin Brannan.

Presenters include renowned ballet dancer and choreographer Mikhail Baryshnikov, global philanthropist Mona Sinha and actor Jeffrey Wright!

Appearances and performances by Louis Mofsie, Director of Thunderbird American Indian Dancers, Opus Dance Theatre’s middle school steel pan ensemble, and Regina Opera’s Lindell Carter, tenor, with Scott Jackson Wiley, principal conductor.
