Hello everyone,

We have officially reached 8 years of the De Colores Collective movement and what a feat! We're so grateful to everyone who has been a part of the journey and are truly humbled to be growing year by year.

This year alongside the launch of this campaign we're so excited to be sharing with you our official documentary, "De Colores Forever" produced by TX film group Watchale. You can check it out at youtube.com/decoloresco starting 7/11. Perhaps it brought you here and for that, we thank you and hope you enjoyed. We're eager to keep expanding the dream.

Most importantly, we hope you feel seen. Whether it was the podcast, an ounce of joy, art shows, events, a friendship, or newfound belief in a Texas based group making change and growth happen in these dark times. Thank you for seeing us and believing in us.

These funds are to help return to our media roots. Our podcast wrapped in December of 2022 and everyone awaits the next piece of work. However, media is an incredibly expensive medium. From the lights, to the camera quality costs. The goal since wrapping the podcast has been to do a web series. That is still part of the dream and we're hoping you all can help us make it come true through your contribution. Acquiring new equipment and the team to make this new work happen is priority. Anything else will be utilized to make our events for the rest of the year happen. These include a Know Your Rights event, and healing circle event called Femmes Gather. Always free or accessible to the community first and foremost.

After our in person anniversary event on 7/13 we are also happy to be releasing our archival zine featuring over 50 artists of color from across Texas and beyond. You can find this on our website at decoloresco.com/shop soon. This one was a long time coming.

We are eager to become a sustainable platform and are thrilled at the opportunity to keep expanding and finally asking for the financial support we need to reach these new heights. Thank you again and please stay connected as we can't wait to keep telling our stories in refreshing ways.
