Campaign Update

It's been 3 months since our last update, and we are now at $2,000 left from our overall goal! Since turning this fund to be a transitory one, we have found some options for more permanent housing, and there has been a lot of effort put into them finding work. The help y'all have been contributing IS making a HUGE impact. We really hope that that is never doubted. Thank you all so so much.
When we began this fund, we didn't know what else to do as we continued to watch our friend become more sick and frail. These past months have ment so so much. Please, do continue to share! And if you able to gift anything to help us reach our final goal, that would be very much appreciated. Thank y'all!!!

Thank you everyone!! It's taken so much generosity just to get to this point. 💗
As another update, we've lowered the overall goal from $12,000 to $8,000. Since moving them to a temporary space with the help of micro-goals, this Emergency Housing Fund has turned more into a transitionary fund while work is looked for to secure needed resources and more permanent housing.
This second month being in safe housing is something that hasn't happened before! So we really look forward to see it's impact. Thank y'all so much. Please continue to help, even by sharing, as you can (if you can).

Thank you all so much! We didn't expect such an immediate response to our updated post. It means so much that there are those that are kind enough to want to help.
Due to the time it has taken to crowdfund, we need more help, and the need has become more urgent. They are in the Global South, and temperatures have been at their highest. Recent reports have stated that temperatures are higher than ever before, and them not having access to air conditioning has made this more dire.
We began this fund because their environment had been deteriorating their health for some time, with no other solutions available but to get help so they can leave. Since then, they have gotten more heat sick, as well as more ill from their house members intentionally not masking. Funds had been used to provide them temporary refuge, and food, but we still need help for them to secure permanent safe housing.
Please help them to get an additional $3,000 so that they have enough to permanently move to safer housing. All of the help that has gotten us even to this point has already meant so much to their safety and health. Please continue to share so that those who are able to give can continue to help. 💓
