At AMSG, we believe in putting our values into action—and this August, we’re doing just that. From August 3–14, 2025, a team of AMSG employees will travel to Lake Atitlán, Guatemala, to partner with Wellkind Guatemala ONG, a grassroots nonprofit committed to environmental restoration, education, and community resilience.

This is more than a service trip—it’s a chance to bring AMSG’s 6 Cs to life:
🛠 Competence in designing real-world solutions.
💬 Communication and Compassion as we engage local schools and families.
🌿 Character and Courage as we step outside our comfort zones.
🤝 And most of all—Community, at home and across borders.

💧 What We'll Do in Guatemala

🏗 Build a Community Workspace – Construct an open-air extension to Wellkind’s office that will host workshops, community meetings, and educational sessions.
🌱 Develop a Tree Nursery – Help expand a community-led native tree nursery that protects Lake Atitlán’s watershed.
🌳 Plant Trees with Local Schools – Work side-by-side with students and families to restore forests and build environmental awareness.
👥 Foster Cross-Cultural Exchange – Share stories, meals, and knowledge with the indigenous Maya Tz’utujil and Kaqchikel communities we serve.

🌟 Why This Matters

This trip represents the natural extension of AMSG’s environmental mission and our ISO 14001 commitment to sustainability. But more than that—it’s about serving people, strengthening communities, and making a long-term impact beyond our borders.

Our team’s efforts will directly support:

Reforestation of vulnerable highland areas
Improved water security for local families
Education and resources for long-term environmental stewardship
