We are raising $250,000 to help bring Carabelle’s Soul & Spirit Cafe to life as a permanent brick-and-mortar home for Carabelle’s Legacy.

Carabelle’s Legacy is a survivor-led nonprofit rooted in healing, opportunity, and second chances. What began through pain, loss, and lived experience has grown into a mission-driven organization creating real pathways for justice-impacted women, fire-affected families, and communities too often left behind.

This campaign will help us secure and launch a permanent space where food, workforce development, and community care can live under one roof. Our vision is bigger than a café. This space will allow us to expand culinary training, create jobs, increase earned revenue, strengthen catering operations, and offer a welcoming place where people can gather, grow, and be restored.

What the $250,000 Will Support

Funds raised through this campaign will support the startup and launch needs tied to opening our brick-and-mortar location, including:

Furniture, fixtures, and equipment

Signage and branding

Coffee and service equipment

Smallwares and kitchen tools

Opening inventory and supplies

Technology and point-of-sale setup

Working capital and launch readiness

Other tenant-side startup costs needed to open and operate successfully

If our final brick-and-mortar location is not at 36th Street North or 36N, these funds will still go directly toward establishing Carabelle’s Legacy’s permanent brick-and-mortar home and supporting the same mission-driven launch goals.
