Join us during National Eosinophil Awareness Week, May 18-24, or anytime in May, as we Walk For Hope to raise awareness nationwide. Whether you're a patient navigating dietary restrictions, a parent learning to advocate for your child, or a caregiver supporting a loved one through their journey, you're not alone. Our virtual walk creates a powerful way to connect with others who understand your experience while raising awareness about eosinophilic diseases.

Why We Walk

For 47 years, Samuel has navigated life with eosinophilic gastroenteritis, a journey that began in his infancy when he couldn't tolerate solid foods. His parents' search for answers led them across the country, from New York to Cincinnati, consulting multiple specialists, including renowned experts at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Today, his care continues through Penn State specialists.

The challenges for Samuel have been significant. A frightening incident with supposedly gluten-free Cheerios sent Jeffrey into shock and landed him in the emergency room. He has endured two severe GI blockages. His condition has expanded beyond his digestive system, and decades of necessary medications have resulted in osteoporosis and organ damage.

Stories like Samuel's drive home why funding research is so crucial. By supporting research today, we can help ensure faster diagnosis tomorrow, potentially preventing the long-term health complications that come from years of undiagnosed disease and prolonged medication use.
