Family, Friends, and Colleagues,

Grieving is hard, deeply personal, and rarely linear—especially for children who have lost a parent or sibling. As someone who lost my dad on the first day of high school, I know how pivotal early support can be. That’s why I’m grateful to re-engage with Comfort Zone Camp (CZC) as a volunteer, board member, and advisor to help this incredible organization grow.

CZC provides free weekend camps for grieving children ages 7–17, offering therapist-led healing circles, community, and fun activities that help them bridge the gap between loss and everyday life. Many arrive feeling alone in their grief; they leave knowing they’re not.

Over the past 25 years, CZC has supported more than 25,000 campers and has been featured in outlets such as the Wall Street Journal and USA Today. I’m excited to help lead the expansion into the Nashville, TN area and am working to raise $120,000 to build a sustainable program for this fast-growing region.

Comfort Zone Camp is a nonprofit 501(c)3 bereavement organization that transforms the lives of children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, primary caregiver, or significant person.
Our programs are free of charge and include trust-building activities and age-based support groups that break the emotional isolation grief often brings.
Comfort Zone’s programs are offered to children ages 7-17, young adults for 18-25-year-olds, and separate parent and guardian programs.
