A warm shower seems small. If you’re living outside, it’s everything. Detroit has very few public restrooms, and staying clean is a daily challenge. Hygiene affects health, confidence, and the ability to work, learn, and rebuild. Your gift meets people where they are, then helps them take the next step.

What Your Gift Makes Possible

Mobile Showers

Our custom ADA-equipped trailer has three private rooms, one ADA. Each room has a shower, toilet, sink, and changing area. Built with a winter package, it runs all year in Michigan weather. On service days, we target 20 to 40 showers across partner sites in Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties.

The Essentials Van

Think mobile clothing closet and hygiene hub. We stock socks, underwear, shirts, coats, hygiene kits, warming bundles, blankets, and more. The side service window and rear racks turn any stop into a clean, dignified shopping experience.

Lil’ Pantries and Food Support

Community-stocked pantries and targeted food distribution fill gaps fast, especially for families and unsheltered neighbors who can’t reach larger sites.

How It Works

We bring the shower trailer and Essentials Van to trusted partner sites across Metro Detroit.
Guests receive a private, respectful experience, plus fresh clothing and hygiene items.
Our team builds relationships, shares next steps, and connects people to resources.

Sharing love by providing shelter, mobile showers, and essentials to those in need.

Who We Are

Founded in 2018, WAVE Project, Welcoming All Valuing Everyone, is a grassroots nonprofit based in Macomb County. We started with a monthly Outreach BBQ in Mount Clemens, where volunteers and neighbors sat together and shared stories. We listened, learned about the barriers, and built the services our community needed most.
