Keep On Pushing

People often suggest we represent the '22' differently—maybe 22 miles or 22 laps. But this event is intentionally hard. It’s not just about the hours or the miles; it’s about the brutal Michigan November weather that gives us three seasons in a single day. It’s about being 16 hours in—sore, cold, tired, and broken—with sleet pelting your face in the dark.

We do this because it’s exactly what we ask of our Veterans who are struggling. When the world feels like it would be better off without them, we ask them to 'keep on pushing.' It’s easy to say from the couch. It’s easy to say after 22 miles. It’s something else entirely to live through it on the course.
