Hi, my name is Treii Johnson, and living with sickle cell disease is part of what makes me unique.
Even though sickle cell comes with challenges, I try to look at it as one part of my story — not something that takes away from who I am. I am grateful to have people around me who support me, understand my journey, and help me manage my health when I need it.
Having that support means a lot. It reminds me that I am not going through this alone.
📚 Pushing Through School Challenges
The biggest way sickle cell has impacted my life is through school. Pain crises and doctor’s appointments have caused me to miss a lot of class time. Missing school can make it harder to keep up with assignments, lessons, and everything happening in the classroom.
Even when I have to be absent, I still want to stay focused on my goals and keep moving forward. Sickle cell may interrupt my routine at times, but it does not change my ability to learn, grow, and succeed.
🎓 What This Scholarship Means to Me
Receiving the Warrior on the Rise Scholarship means so much because it supports my education and encourages me to keep going, even when sickle cell creates challenges.
This scholarship is a reminder that my story matters, my goals matter, and I have people cheering me on as I continue my journey.
Sickle cell is part of what makes me unique, but it does not define my future.
🌟 Help More Warrior Scholars Rise
When you support the Warrior on the Rise Scholarship Fund, you are investing in students like me — scholars impacted by sickle cell disease who are working hard to pursue education while managing health challenges many people may not see.
Your donation helps provide encouragement, financial support, and hope to young people who are determined to keep rising.
Thank you for believing in me and in the future of Warrior Scholars everywhere.
