Our names are Ramen Murugadoss and Ehssan Kanamkandy and we are the organizers of the Stronger Together Fundraising Strength Showdown. The past year has been anything but normal for all of us; with the outbreak of a deadly virus, various accounts of prejudice and hate and many other matters of public disagreement, the whole human community was in a state of anxiety and mourning. To make matters worse, the problem of homelessness in the Bay Area started to heavily escalate where the homeless population had to endure unimaginable circumstances. As members of this community in the Bay Area, we felt the need to do our part to help heal the wounds the adversities of this past year has caused. Due to the fact that our final year of high school is approaching us very soon as we become seniors, we wanted to do something to give back to the community that we’ve grown up in one last time and we wanted to reach out to ask for your aid to do so. Thus, we have decided to organize the "Stronger Together" fundraising powerlifting meet. Since we both are passionate about weightlifting, to try to impact our community, we wanted to organize a charity powerlifting meet to raise funds for a charity and help them achieve their cause. 100% of all the proceeds will go to Hamilton Families, a nonprofit organization and the "leading service provider to families experiencing homelessness, with carefully designed programs to prevent homelessness, provide shelter and stability, return families to permanent housing and support the well-being of children experiencing homelessness".

It is now that we humbly ask for your aid to help us raise funds and make an impact in the lives of the lesser privileged families in the Bay Area. For this event, we stumbled upon Hamilton Families and thought that their work in the area of combating homelessness was amazing and their work is needed now more than ever as we are recovering from the pandemic. Thus, we would be honored to receive any amount of donation towards this campaign to help reach our goal and help this great cause and make a change in our community.
