Access is a right. Care is infrastructure.

Stimpunks is built by neurodivergent and disabled people for each other. The Care Infrastructure Fund exists to make that work sustainable.

This fund supports the often-invisible labor that keeps access real: writing, moderation, accessibility work, community care, and systems design grounded in lived experience.

## What We Mean by Care Infrastructure

Care infrastructure is the work that makes participation possible.

It is not charity.

It is not emergency-only.

It is not invisible or unpaid.

Care infrastructure is:

* Paying disabled and neurodivergent people for their labor

* Designing for nervous systems, not norms

* Maintaining access over time

* Creating safety without compliance

* Building systems that hold complexity

This is the foundation everything else stands on.

## What the Fund Supports

The Care Infrastructure Fund directly supports:

* Writing, research, and resource creation

* Accessibility and sensory-aware design

* Moderation and community care

* Technical maintenance and hosting

* Time to think, rest, and design well

This is not overhead.

This is the work.

## Why Monthly Support Matters

One-time gifts help.

Monthly support creates stability.

## What We Refuse to Do

We do not:

* Use pity or urgency theater

* Frame disabled people as inspirational objects

* Tie access to donor status

* Trade our values for funding

* Perform trauma to prove worth

Care without dignity is not care.

We commit to:

* Paying people for their work

* Centering those most impacted

* Naming where funds go in human terms

* Being honest about limits and capacity

Money should protect our capacity, not control it.

## Where the Money Goes

When you support the Care Infrastructure Fund, your money goes to people and work—not abstractions.

It pays for:

* Disabled and neurodivergent writers, editors, and thinkers

* Accessibility labor (plain language, sensory-aware design, usability work)

* Community care and moderation

* Technical maintenance and hosting

* Time to design thoughtfully instead of reactively

We talk about money in human terms because budgets affect bodies.
