In Arizona, Latinx birthers are nearly twice as likely as white birthers to die of pregnancy related complications. Black birthers are 4 times more likely. These statistics emerge from unjust systems of power and inequality that have direct impacts on people of color who are bringing new life into the world. And yet, studies and stories show that access to midwifery care can significantly improve outcomes for all birthers.

Our goal is to make midwifery care- prenatal, birth, and postpartum- more holistic and accessible for people of color in our community who choose to birth with us. By offering discounted rates through our Birth Equity Fund, we can create more ease, support, and care for our clients.

To meet that goal, please join us at the vibrant Las Milpitas Community Farm for our spring fundraiser: Birth Storytelling & Brunch. A ticket includes a delicious Mexican brunch from a local chef, as well as raffle tickets to win beautiful gifts and services. We will listen to community members give voice and life to powerful birth stories. Stories create change, and inspire something new to take seed.
