Established in 2010, Johnny Leroy Dawkins Jr Scholarship Fund dba JLD Community Solutions has averaged awarding around $1,000 annually to young men of color graduating Lexington Sr. High School.

The mission is to advocate for the success of these young men, invest in their future and help prevent them from being on the giving or receiving end of gun violence.

In 2023 we reached a milestone awarding an annual amount of $3,000 in scholarships. This year we want to double those efforts. This year we have an ambitious goal to award $6,000 in scholarships.

We have been blessed to see the impact in the lives of our scholarship recipients as a result of receiving this award. Your gift of a donation will allow us to reach our big goal and make an even greater impact.
