Levine Cancer Institute Project

Levine Cancer Institute is a part of Atrium Health in Charlotte. As one of the leading and most innovative cancer care facilities in the country, Levine Cancer Institute provides world-class care, close to home, through a wide range of services and therapies for those facing cancer treatment.

LCI patients and families enter a new reality that can be very challenging. Our project will involve assembling portfolios/binders for those beginning the cancer journey. The portfolios contain extensive information about what to expect, tips and resources, and more. We have the great opportunity to serve cancer patients through this service project as caring People of Action. Sign up for a one-hour project session or more, scheduled for the afternoon of Friday, May 16.

Fountain Inn Book Center for Haitian Youth

Involve your club in a service project for the Haitian-American children's bilingual community book center in Fountain Inn. Donate and collect gently used English language books for children 8 and younger. Donate Haitian Creole language or Creole/English books. Donate popular children's books in English that have been translated into Creole. Donate school supplies, art supplies, learning games or gently used games, or washable toys. For the final part of this project we need a few volunteers to help with collection and boxing up of donated items, and packing the delivery vehicle.
