Most of these kids lost their homes — some were left with only the pajamas they were wearing the night of the flood. They need school clothes, shoes, and some beloved belongings to call their own. Your donations give them not just clothes and essentials, but dignity, hope, and joy

How You Can Support

Sponsor a Child (Flood Survivors)

Help a child get back on their feet with gift cards or gifts.

Goal: At least $250 per child (stretch goal of $400-$500 for teens if possible)
For clothes and shoes, we request only gift cards. This gives kids the freedom to choose clothes and shoes they love — and fit!
For the fun stuff, gift cards are always welcome, or shop for physical gifts if you prefer!
The personal touch - Feel free to include an encouraging card or message for the children and their families letting them know people care.
Donations of any amount are welcome.

Important Notes

100% of donations go directly to kids impacted by the flood, ideally within days of your donation.
We’ll do our best to honor requests to help specific kids, but we may shift donations if necessary to ensure no child is left out.

# 8 - 💙WAITING FOR AN SPONSOR - 15-year-old boy.

Disabled teen not able to do sports or physical activities as much as he would love to and tries to. He was born with a rare heart disease which meant he had to have a heart transplant at the age of 6. After suffering from a stroke, he was left disabled. He lost motion in the left arm and leg. Due to this he loves to play video games on his tablet. He LOVES to draw and number one interest is Legos (target). He loves basketball and attempts it but cannot due to his disability. Family lost their home and all belongings in the flood.

# 9 - 💙WAITING FOR AN SPONSOR - 8-year-old boy

Going into 3rd grade. He is sporty and likes Fortnite and outside toys. I met him and he is super smart and creative. He watches “how to” videos on YouTube and makes things with spare parts they have around their property. The family’s home got hit with the flood so it’s been costly. They are driving their son 25 minutes each way to school this year so he can stay with the same school counselor he was so close to to help with the trauma of the flood. This means they could really use some help with gas cards.

Family’s house and property were damaged in the flood. They said she would probably love a doll house if anyone finds one that was donated (can be new or used in good condition). They would love some warm footie pajamas for their baby due in a couple months, too, since their house has no heat (just a space heater).

Loves cats, anime, and karate. His family loves going to the Renaissance festivals together (his mom performs at them!) and he loves being involved, including the costumes. He loves swords and anything medieval or Renaissance fair. All his body armor, costumes, swords, and leather boots washed down the creek, and his Xbox was destroyed. His mom said with clothing and shoes, “He likes anything comfortable and is not into name brands - yes!!! Thank goodness. He’s almost 15 and not picky yet LOL.” :) Home started to wash away but was stopped by a tree. Significant flood damage, most of their belongings washed down the creek and were not recovered.

Home was damaged, including winter clothes and baking supplies. These things don't add up to her most important loss from all this, as she lost her best friend in the flood. She loves to bake and cook in the Fall. She lost a chocolate warmer, ramen cooker, rice cooker, silicone baking pans and three piece molds that she had collected. She loves painting, ceramics, modeling clay sculpting, writing, scrapbooking, and anything beauty related, especially nail related. She loves press-on nails that are almond shaped and neutral shades. She attends cosmetology school and would love to have light pink solid, and black solid, size small scrubs.

From her family: “She has a big personality and absolutely loves to dance and sing. Although she had a very rough past month or so! We lost our RV in which we lived and everything in it. As the flood and losing our home wasn't tough enough on her, her Gammaw (grandma) and BFF passed away. Anything comforting or to do with feelings and learning emotions would be an amazing gift for the time. Gift cards would be food places, chic fil a because they have a playhouse inside! She loves to color with markers, play dress up in dresses, purses, play jewelry and play shoes, and just likes to be a diva. Her favorite shows/characters are Sesame street- all the characters, Ms Rachel- all the characters, Blippi, Blues clues, and Baby shark. She wears a size 5 infant shoe, preferably Nike or Adidas.”

# 14 - 💙WAITING FOR AN SPONSOR - 10-year-old boy

Just mother and son - lost their home in the flood and currently in emergency housing. They took a small bag of clothes and that was it. As a 10 yr/o boy, this has been a traumatic experience and he’s embarrassed to be living in these impoverished circumstances. He's an active child, and into sports like soccer, and Muay Thai. He misses his punching bag. Mom and son have not been back to their home since the storm, but expect to find everything ruined. He would love to get soccer cleats and shinguards, punching gloves, head gear for Muay Thai, maybe even a new punching bag.

Experienced the flood with his family having to be rescued from their home. His home and all their personal belongings are all gone. He is all boy. Loves hot wheels/RC cars, playing outside and getting dirty. He likes to watch YouTube and play games. He misses his stuffed stitch (Lilo and stitch) and hot wheels tracks. WE PREFER TO GIVE GIFT CARDS, but he wears a size 8-10 shirt, size 8-10 shorts size, 8-10 husky pants, size 2-3 shoes.

Experienced the flood with her family having to be rescued from their home. Her home and all their personal belongings are all gone. With two older brothers she still has her girly ways! She loves anything girlie and pink, make-up and jewelry. Loves to play in the dirt and sand and misses her sandbox, princess stuff and trampoline (literally cried over her trampoline that "got flooded away" she said). She starts school this year and is so excited to get new clothes and shoes for school. WE PREFER TO GIVE GIFT CARDS, but she wears a size 7/8 in shirts,pants and shorts. And a size 13/1 in shoe's. Other two siblings listed as #15 and #16.

From her dad, “She is very tom boy and she loves to read books and she likes to crochet as well. She will be starting senior year this year. She absolutely loves going to Walmart and Bushes Chicken as well HTeaO. She is very, very artistic, and knows how to weld! She lost her welding stuff in the flood as well. Her truck that her mother (who passed away from cancer a few years ago) left her got flooded. She was living in a small camper due to us moving into a new house this summer and luckily she wasn’t home that weekend, she was out of town. I feel like her mother in heaven was looking out for her that weekend. She lost everything in her camper and it ended up floating into our neighbors yard. She also lost two of her teenage friends in the flood. She is still a very strong-willed young woman.”

Their house flooded to the point where it broke in half and they lost many of their belongings. Their landlord decided not to fix it, so they had nowhere to live. They were forced to move from their 3-bedroom house to a small, borrowed RV because they had nowhere else to go. Even with that, these kids' parents still worked to help everyone in the community who also had flood damage, out there with equipment clearing debris for all the neighbors. Just really kind, generous, caring people. We would love to get some school clothes and shoes for the kids and they need things to try to help organize what they have to fit in this much smaller space with 2 young kids.
