Bridge the Education Gap for Nashville Youth & Families $18,700

We want Nashville’s youth to thrive. During the school-year, we offer free, high-quality after-school programs. During the summer, we provide meaningful jobs and mentorship to get them ready for the workplace. Both of these programs provide a safe and enriching environment to youth who come from low-income, underserved areas.

Although we are funded to serve 133 middle schoolers, we are already serving nearly 160 and enrollment continues to rise. In the summers, transportation barriers prevent 20% of youth from accessing summer learning and 10% of our workforce teens from reaching job sites. As needs grow well beyond what current funding allows, youth across all our programs continue showing up hungry for stability, mentorship, and opportunity, even as resources fall short. Help make these programs accessible to the students that need them most.

Program supplies $6,100 (36% of funds raised)
To ensure every student and teen in CASE and WorkWell has the materials they need to fully participate, from books, curriculum, and STEM kits to art supplies, project materials, and WorkWell uniforms and industry tools. These resources are essential for delivering high-quality after-school learning and workforce readiness as enrollment continues to rise beyond what we are funded for.

Educational experiences for families $3,500 (21% of funds raised)
To create a meaningful experience for 45 youth and their families from our apartment-based sites, we will take them to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center to watch How to Train Your Dragon with a live orchestra performing the full score—an unforgettable opportunity most families could never afford. This trip opens young minds to music, storytelling, culture, and the power of the arts, while giving each student a special outing with a family member. Transportation and a meal are provided.

Transportation support $7,400 (44% of funds raised)
To close the critical gap in safe, reliable transportation so youth can participate consistently in after-school programs, summer learning, and workforce training, ensuring that barriers like distance, cost, or family work schedules do not prevent them from accessing the opportunities they deserve.
