TCNE, which serves the trans community throughout New England is partnering to help celebrate and support Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR). Typically this week churches, community centers and others host candlelight vigils to honor our trans siblings who have been murdered simply for being themselves. This is a global concern and each year hundreds die a premature violent death. In America, The victims are almost exclusively trans women of color. More than candles! Trans Resistance was catapulted into the spotlight this summer by our First Event friends Athena Vaughn, Chastity Bowick and Tre'Andre Valentine. These three leaders are currently meeting with officials and developers in the Boston to create the area's first Homeless Shelter for Transgender individuals. TCNE has committed to match up to $500 for contributions made through this site before TDOR. Please give what you can and join us on Sunday evening.
