Free Benefit Music Festival Celebrates Local Music + Arts Community

The Tahoe Joy Festival celebrates the Tahoe basin’s preeminent bands for the 3rd annual benefit music festival on Sunday, June 8 from 12pm to 6pm at the Commons Beach in Tahoe City. Attendees can look forward to a day filled with incredible music, delicious food, and a vibrant community atmosphere.

The Tahoe Joy Festival is a free, one-day benefit music festival showcasing 10 regional bands and student musicians, over 30 local artisan vendors, food and beverage trucks and family-friendly activities hosted by community environmental organizations. The Tahoe Joy Festival raises awareness and funds for local nonprofits with this year's recipient, the Tahoe Truckee School of Music (TTSM).

The Tahoe Joy Festival, the brainchild of Tahoe local Matt Axton, was inspired by Axton’s father and musician Hoyt Axton’s biggest hit, “Joy to the World” (‘Jeremiah was a bullfrog’) and spreading a little more “Joy” in the Tahoe City community through music.

Thanks to the generosity of the North Tahoe Chamber's TOT-TBID Dollars at Work, sponsorship from local businesses, and community members like you, the Tahoe Joy Festival is able to remain a free event for all to enjoy.
