We are pleased to announce that we’ll be hosting our 7th annual golf tournament on June 6, 2026, at The Pompey Club. Cuse Pit Crew’s (CPC) mission is to “Refuel the Human- Animal Connection” in CNY through community outreach and educational programming, while advocating for pit bulls and other misunderstood breeds.

Founded in 2011, CPC has spent the last decade partnering with the City of Syracuse to help decrease the number of dogs euthanized in our city shelter. Through our strategic programming and community outreach, we’ve seen the euthanasia numbers dramatically decrease and adoptions consistently rise.

Even with these promising numbers at our local shelter, we’re still seeing an extraordinary number of dogs entering the shelter. As a result of the ongoing issue of stray dogs, we’ve recently launched a unique program called “Operation: Keep Us Together.” This program was created to serve dogs at risk of displacement, abuse, and neglect. Local shelters are continually overwhelmed with stray or abandoned dogs who escape from their home or are surrendered due to lack of resources. This program will help families in financial need keep their dogs in their home and out of shelters. We will work with local agencies and families to address immediate needs like food and fencing, provide ongoing support with veterinary care, basic training, and other needs. We envision this program becoming part of the vast network of services for residents in need, providing unique assistance that will ease the burden on local shelters and relieve stress on families who love their pets. This proven model has garnered extraordinary success in neighboring cities like Rochester, and other US cities by helping to combat cruelty, as well as decrease the number of homeless dogs in shelters. All proceeds raised from this event will go towards funding “Operation: Keep Us Together.”
