For over 75 years the Union Gospel Mission has been “Meeting Needs, Making Change, and Magnifying Christ!” right here in Chattanooga and the surrounding area. Now it is time to take a major step forward! In the next two weeks we will be breaking ground on a housing expiation that will increase our current residential capacity by 75%.

Obviously, we cannot do this without the continued support that the people of Chattanooga, Hamilton County, and the Tri-State area. Below you will find many opportunities for you to help. Our goal is to raise $300,000 in gifts and commitments, preferably, by the end of 2025.

Praise the Lord! - we already have approximately $125,000 raised or committed to this project. Now we’re asking you to help! Not help us ‘build a building”, but help us “REBUILD” lives that are broken and in need of repair! You can truly make a difference in someone’s life if you will simply “Buy the Foot”!

Our new addition is going to be an 800 square foot, 2-bedroom, 2-bath, home. Based on current statistics, the “average” cost of construction in the Chattanooga area is $250 per square foot. So we are asking you to “Buy the Foot”. Whether you buy 1 foot or multiple feet, we believe that this is how we will get this done!

Our history is that of individuals in the community giving generously to help us accomplish our mission of helping those in need. We believe that this expansion will be accomplished the same way!

We need 800 people in Chattanooga and the surrounding area to commit to $250 to purchase 1 square foot of this expansion. Maybe you could do 2 square feet for $500. Possibly 4 square feet for $1,000. What if you could do 100 square feet for $25,000? Or maybe you are somewhere in the middle.

Many of you may say, I don’t have $250. Then would you consider $25 per month for 10 months? In less than a year you can help those in need with 1 square foot!
