At The Starr Institute (TSI), we are deeply committed to educating, engaging, and empowering youth and communities to break cycles of trauma and embrace healingand we’d love to have you run (or walk!) alongside us.

Over the past seven years, this movement has grown tremendously, welcoming over 800 participants from 34 states and 3 countries. From families and community leaders to small businesses, professionals, and youth-serving organizations, the support has been nothing short of amazing. The ReDiscover YOUR Light 5K Run+Walk is more than just a race, it’s a celebration of strength, unity, and the shared belief that every child deserves safety, support, and the chance to thrive.

This year, we’re turning up the momentum!

Our hybrid model makes it easy for anyone, anywhere to get involved. Participants can join our virtual race week from October 26 – November 1, 2025, or lace up their shoes for our in-person event at Miramar Regional Park on Saturday, November 1, 2025.

We are aiming to have participants in all 50 states and with your partnership, we believe that’s more than possible. Your support as a sponsor will not only help us reach this exciting milestone, but more importantly, it will help us continue providing education, resources, and healing spaces for youth and families impacted by abuse.
