LĀHAINĀ RISING is a grassroots film created by and alongside the generational families of Lahaina — people who lived through the fires, helped one another survive, and continue fighting to protect their home, culture, and future.

We have bootstrapped this film through grassroots support, personal sacrifice, and countless hours of labor from local families, filmmakers, cultural practitioners, and advocates. Now, we need support not simply to finish the film but to ensure it reaches the communities that need it most.

Your donation helps expand the film’s national Community Education & Impact Campaign, bringing screenings, workshops, panel discussions, and educational resources to fire-affected and disaster-affected communities across the country.

Together with local and national partners, we are developing trauma-informed discussion guides, preparedness resources, and Traditional Ecological Knowledge (TEK) tools designed to help communities strengthen resilience, recovery, and disaster preparedness before the next crisis strikes.
