For twenty-three years, Kufunda has grown as a village of learning, beauty, and reconnection—rooted in the wisdom of our Zimbabwean lands and open to all who come to remember that we belong together and live best in kinship with the Earth.

Today, we are inviting you to become a Sahwira — a Shona word for a deep friend.

This invitation is to join our circle of Sahwira friends, gathering around Kufunda to help fill our Hari, the clay pot at the heart of community life that holds our shared nourishment.

Our goal is to raise $8,000 per month—the amount needed to ensure that every member of the Kufunda community receives a living wage.

If 400 friends give $20 per month, the Hari will be full.

And when the Hari is full, the people who hold this work are held. When the people are held, the work can flourish.

Every contribution matters. Whether $5, $20, $50, or $500, each gift strengthens the base of the village and nourishes the daily life of Kufunda.
