Help Us Build Our House

In 2010, a small group of hopeful dreamers set out to do something that seemed almost impossible: bring the sport of curling to Southern California. They had no dedicated rink, no rocks, no permanent home — just passion and a belief that curling could thrive under the California sun.

For 16 years, our club curled in whatever shared-use ice rink would have us. We were grateful for the ice time we could get, but it was never truly ours, often unplayable and sometimes unsafe. We were shuffled between rinks across Orange and Los Angeles counties, with ice time carved out late at night, long after most sports had gone home. It made growing our community harder. But we never stopped showing up.

Then, in 2024, everything changed.

Westminster Ice — our home base — closed its doors with almost no warning. Overnight, our club went from limited ice to no ice at all. For the first time in our history, our future genuinely felt uncertain.

But instead of giving up, we rallied.

Our members voted to take our destiny into our own hands. We began a capital campaign to finally build what we’ve always dreamed of: a dedicated curling facility in Orange County. A place that reflects who we are. A place where we can broomstack and build community. A place where curlers of every age, gender, identity, and ability can belong.

And in just over a year, thanks to the generosity, grit, and passion of this community, we have raised $1M in donations, in-kind support, and vendor financing.

But we’re not done yet…

To open our doors, we need $1.6M —we still have a critical gap to close.

Last month, we took the biggest step in our club’s history: we signed the lease on a warehouse at 1305 E Wakeham Ave in Santa Ana. For the first time ever, we have the keys to our future.

Now we need your help to finish what we started.

This facility will be more than a curling rink — it will be a place where community grows.
Where first-time curlers and national champions share the same ice.

Where kids, adults, seniors, and adaptive athletes can all play the same sport together.
Where lifelong friendships are made.

We are building something that will shape curling in Southern California for generations.
