Diamonds On The Rise mission states, “Through dedication and nurture, Diamonds On The Rise promotes positive behaviors in youth. Our organization achieves victory over violence through mentoring, educating, and service”. Our vision and philosophy was founded with a purpose of adding a place for youth and young adults to learn through a variety of enrichment programs and services that enables them to continuously climb the ladder of success to better themselves. In addition, we are devoted to developing and promoting quality programs that provide a nurturing and thoughtful environment for individuals living with psychiatric diagnoses. We strive to promote an interacting and safe environment that will address the needs of the consumer who may have challenges with their daily living activities.

Co-Founders: Ms. Alderman, a mother of four and Mrs. Robin have extensive field experience in Education and Mental Health. Collectively, they have been working with youth, adolescents and their families to provide social skills and mentoring for over 20 years. They understand the needs and changes of today’s society in which they will be able to train staff in providing adequate services and resource.

We are writing to share an exciting development and seek your support for a critical project that will significantly impact the lives of many young individuals and families in our community.

For the past 13 years, our nonprofit organization, Diamonds On The Rise, has been a beacon of hope and opportunity for over 500 youth and their families.

We are thrilled to announce that we have secured a building at 2100 Edmondson Avenue, Baltimore, MD, 21223, that will serve as our new headquarters and community center. This new space holds immense potential to expand our services, increase our outreach, and create a more profound impact. However, to make this vision a reality, we need your help.

The building requires significant renovations to ensure it is safe, accessible, and fully equipped to meet the needs of our community. Our goal is to raise $550,000 to cover the costs of these renovations. The funds will be used to:

Safety & Accessibility: Sprinkler/Alarm/ADA/Security
Structural & Cosmetics: Roofing/Painting/Electrical/Flooring
Learning & Activity Spaces: Workshop & Training/Recreational Spaces
Common Area & Amenities: Lobby/Kitchen/Restrooms
Outdoor Space: Playground/Landscaping
Technology & Interactive Materials: Computers/Hardware/Etc.
