Our Church of Music gatherings at The Red Barn are about to kick off again on Sept 20th with Laura Gibson and we are looking for a handful of you to join our "Rhythm Section Donor Circle" to keep these magical, intimate neighborhood gatherings going!

For those of you who join the Rhythm Section, you will get early access to reserve seats before we announce the gatherings to our larger email list of friends and neighbors. This means that when we lock an artist in, we will send a txt and email out to the Rhythm Section FIRST and you will have 2 days to reserve your seats before we email the rest of the community that the RSVP link is live. Over the last two years, every gathering has reached capacity within a couple weeks of announcing the artist, with wait lists of 10-30 people for each event.

There will be a limited number of Rhythm Section donors and our goal is to raise $25k:

If you make a minimum donation of $200, you will get early access to reserve seats
If you make a donation of $500 and above, you will get a hand printed inaugural season poster and also get early access to pick your seats for gatherings by letting us know your 1st and 2nd pick locations (the couch, the church pew, front row, etc)

Like all Red Barn fundraisers, these donations are 100% tax deductible.

All gatherings moving forward will be invitation only, via the email list with an RSVP required. Rhythm Section donors will get early access to reserve seats. Then as the gatherings take place, folks can still choose to make a voluntary contribution to support the organization but donations will NOT be mandatory to reserve a seat or receive an invitation.

Sept 20 - Laura Gibson
One of Portland's most revered indie songwriters and multi-instrumentalists, Laura rarely plays hometown shows anymore as she's most often found touring the UK and Europe. The Fader described her most recent album, Goner, as "so incessantly beautiful that one cannot help but want to gently grack it open to get to its beating core."

Oct 11 - Niall Connelly
Irish-born (and now Brooklyn-based) songwriter, Niall Connelly was introduced to us by his dear friends Anna Tivel and Jeffery Martin when he asked their recommendation on favorite places to play on his upcoming first tour into the Great Northwest. "Connelly's The Patience of Trees welcomes us into a world where hope and kindness are the bravest of things." - Casee Marie, Imperfect Fifth

Nov 22 - Elise Leavy & Liv Greene
Elise played the barn back in November 2023 when she was on tour with our friends Love, Dean and she immediately stole our hearts with her Laurel-canyon tinged vocals and guitar work. We can't wait to welcome her back while she'll be touring the PNW with her good pal and fellow country songstress, Liv Greene. Liv's 2024 album, Deep Feeler, quietly took the Americana Country world by storm, "Like the songs of Gillian Welch or John Prine, her songs reach deep into your chest and just hold your heart there suspended."-Holler
