At Unique Union, Inc., we incorporated in September 2019 with the belief that self-care is a positive habit and we use DIY projects in our creative community as a way to "put in the work" that is needed to maintain our emotional well-being. We also seek to train community members in Adult Mental Health First Aid through the National Council of Mental Wellbeing to keep everyone informed on solutions to common challenges and to reduce the stigma behind seeking mental wellness.

Our #SelfCareSunday Craft Workshops are held in the Marshall Heights community of Ward 7 SE, Washington, DC-- an area with a rich local history, at the Capitol View Neighborhood Library. This DC Public Library is only steps away from Benning Road Metrorail Station. Most of our Adult Mental Health First Aid Courses are held virtually via Zoom or in person at the offices, churches, and headquarters of the various local organizations we serve.

We need your support! We are looking forward to covering all expenses related to using a dedicated studio and meeting center with at least 2000 sq ft in a location close to Capitol View Library so that we can further improve all of the creative and mental wellness efforts related to our underserved community (Craft Workshops and Adult Mental Health First Aid Courses) based on need of space.
