💫 Full Court For A Cure: A 31-Day Campaign for Hope

This December and January, the Barron community will come together in a powerful show of hope, compassion, and teamwork—both on and off the court—with the Full Court For A Cure fundraising campaign. The Miracles For Grady & Jace organization, in partnership with the Loving Loic Foundation and Barron High School, is launching this month-long campaign.

It begins on December 14th and runs through January 14th, a 31-day period chosen because Grady and Jace are 14-year old twins—two special 'bookends' of the campaign. Throughout this period, we'll rally behind two of our own: Grady and Jace Binder, twin sons of 2000 BHS graduate Erin (Lindberg) Binder, who are bravely battling a rare and devastating genetic condition called Pantothenate Kinase-Associated Neurodegeneration (PKAN).

🧬 About PKAN and the Research

PKAN is an ultra-rare disease that slowly robs children of their ability to walk, talk, eat, and move—while leaving their minds fully aware. There is currently no cure. But there is hope. Through research partnerships at leading U.S. institutions, the Loving Loic Foundation is helping advance gene therapy development for PKAN—a treatment that could stop the disease at its source. Every dollar raised through Full Court For A Cure goes directly to this research.

🏀 A Night of Community and Compassion

On Monday, December 22, 2025, Barron High School will host a full night of basketball and giving as the BHS Boys’ Team takes on Chetek-Weyerhaeuser and the BHS Girls’ Team faces Amery. Between games, we’ll celebrate what makes small towns mighty—the ability to come together, lift one another up, and make miracles happen.

The evening will feature:

A community meal served by friends and volunteers
Raffles, contests, and activities for kids
Courtside and box sponsor seating for local businesses and families
Merchandise sales and donation stations
And, most importantly, the chance to make a difference for two incredible boys and every child living with PKAN

The Loving Loic Foundation is a verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN 93-2081007) founded by the family of another child with PKAN, Loic Blackford of Bozeman, Montana. Together with researchers at OHSU and UMass Chan, the Foundation is advancing a multi-million-dollar initiative to bring lifesaving gene therapy to clinical trial. Over $2 million has already been raised toward the $5 million goal — and with your help, we’ll get there. Your donation doesn’t just help Grady and Jace.
