Dear fellow Rescue Warriors,

Today, we are reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for assistance as we embark on a mission to secure a brighter future for a dog who has faced unimaginable hardships - Hagrid.

Hagrid, a sweet and loving dog, was once just a helpless puppy subjected to physical abuse. Thanks to the compassion of a vigilant neighbor and the dedication of Fairytail Endings Rescue, Hagrid was rescued and found a loving home where he learned what true love felt like.

However, life has dealt Hagrid a series of unfortunate events. His new human companion suffered a stroke, lost her home, and had to part ways with Hagrid due to her inability to care for Hagrid anymore. After living in several boarding facilities, Hagrid’s original rescuer stepped up and adopted him.

Although Hagrid was loved and cared for, all of the changes in his life took a toll on him. He started acting out and jumping the fence, he’s struggling with recall ability, which has become an alarming issue. The last time he jumped the fence, he was gone for 7 hours and came back lethargic, injured, and needed to see an emergency vet. After that incident, a trainer went to the house to work with Hagrid and his family. Hagrid has been there for eight months, and even though he was struggling to retain the skills he was being taught, he developed a strong bond with one of his humans.

The turning point came when we recently received a call and found out that the person Hagrid bonded with tragically lost his life. We can only imagine the confusion and grief Hagrid is experiencing right now.

To address his behavioral challenges, we have identified a solution — an intensive six-week board & training program with Eastern Florida Dog Training. This program will provide Hagrid with the care and guidance he needs, focusing especially on recall to ensure his safety going forward. This program costs $4,500, and this is where we need your support.

We understand that times are tough, but we firmly believe that every small effort contributes to a significant impact. Your generous donation, no matter the amount, will go directly towards giving Hagrid the future he deserves - a future filled with love, security, and happiness.

His temperament is very sweet, he loves to snuggle and enjoys human companionship more than anything else.
He is neutered and up-to-date on shots.
