Who Cracked my Egg?
The "Who Cracked My Egg?" summer camp & after-school program is an innovative culinary learning module using the essence of a broken egg to educate participants on trauma responses and the value of mental health wellness: “no matter how life cracks you something beautiful can come from what remains”.
The camp employs evidence based cognitive therapy through cooking within a teaching/learning platform, teaching emotional resilience which is the ability to respond to stressful or unexpected situations and crisis. Designed for students ages 12 - 19, our six-week program is measurable and provides a strong efficacy cycle. Students graduating this course are provided a Certificate of Completion, community hours, a graduation dinner, a Be Great journal from the program director, Carmen Gray, and access to online courses for continuum learning. We need your continual support to help us make this program accessible to as many youths that are in need of emotional resilience learning.
