Instead, the Nomanawa people welcomed us with open arms, their voices rising in song and dance, enveloping us in a celebration of life so profound it forever altered our own. In that moment of shared humanity, we felt the power of community and the responsibility it brings: to give back, to uplift, and to stand beside those who protect our planet’s lungs.

Since that transformative encounter, we have envisioned a way to honor the Noke Koi’s generosity and strengthen their village’s resilience. Too many families still endure leaky roofs, unstable walls, and the daily uncertainties of inadequate shelter. By rebuilding their infrastructure with respect—to tribal building methods, the forest’s rhythms, and the sacred bonds between land and people—we can create homes that are safe, sustainable, and spiritually resonant.

With your partnership, we’re raising $225,000 to bring this vision to life by constructing:

🏡 16 family homes (10×10 ft with durable aluminum roofs)
🛖 4 larger homes (10×14 ft with eco-friendly zinc roofs)

- Riverboat charter and crew to move heavy timbers from the harvest site to the village
