A Story of Hope, Fueling The Future and Life Changing Helping Hands

In Loudoun County, there’s a quiet movement powered by love, legacy, and community: the African American Community Alliance (AACA). The AACA is sponsoring and hosting the Community - June Giving Days fundraiser because we don’t just serve—we show up for the entire community, especially for those too often overlooked.

Meet Jordy, a third grader at an elementary. school. Like many bright kids, Jordy’s backpack carries more than books—it carries the weight of food insecurity. But every Friday, thanks to food security program, Jordy walks home with a weekend’s worth of meals and a little more peace of mind for improved learning in school.

And then there’s Tiana, a high school senior who is heading to college after much success in high school. She found inspiration through an AACA grant contributing sponsored scholarship and member organization mentoring circle. This fall, she’ll be the first in her family to attend college—her flight and hoodie already covered by our college and education grant funding.

We have James who started training at the Loudoun Freedom Center's NoVA Datacenter Academy and now is working, fully employed, in a Microsoft Datacenter.

Or Ms. Green, a retired teacher now living in a local nursing home, who recently received a surprise visit, flowers, and a handwritten note from a student she once taught—brought to her through our Elder Care program.

These aren’t isolated moments. They’re the everyday miracles your support makes possible across our pillars of care: food, clothing, literacy, scholarships, STEM workforce development, college access, historic preservation, and elder wellness. And in 2026, we’re not slowing down.

But here’s the powerful part: Every dollar you give is a Community by the AACA back to our trusted network of community alliance nonprofits and the over 50 charities they serve.
