Because college education sustains growing minds, scholarship mentoring builds academic resilience, and community support preserve family dignity and inspires young people. Psi Rho Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated respectfully requests community funding support to expand its Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (CHIPP™) program and annual Family Free Shopping Spree (FFSS) initiative serving over 500 children and families across Loudoun County, Virginia.
Your gift addresses motivational needs—and with the donations, it means additional student funding, increased scholarship opportunities, and greater impact through comprehensive support that transforms immediate assistance into lasting stability. Through these programs, the chapter addresses food insecurity, clothing insecurity, and educational stability by providing weekend meal packs, school supplies, clothing, toiletries, and scholarships for underserved students and families.
During the 2026, plans to distributed over 4,800 power pack meals and continues to see increasing demand for support among economically disadvantaged and underrepresented populations. During 2026, Psi Rho Omega will partner with Lucketts Elementary School and Moorefield Elementary School in Loudoun County to provide food to children during the school day as well as weekends and during extended school breaks.
Seeking $5K in increased funds to deliver improved academic success, strengthen our Scholarship and Mentoring Initiative, supporting students from high school through college, and expand our essential recognition and support to students of families throughout Loudoun County. Community donations will help expand services to additional schools and families, ensuring more children have access to nutritious food, essential resources, and educational opportunities needed to thrive.
