This is your chance to help a cause lesser known than most.

To all of you who know me, you know that my mother passed away a few years ago. To those of you who don't, here is the story. Legionnaires disease was not the direct cause of her death, but it was the foundation of a lifetime of health problems that ended her life. My mother was an absolutely wonderful woman who loved everyone in her life very much. Unfortunately, due to the disease, she suffered a massive stroke and was no longer able to have a career or live a normal life. As someone who had to witness the slow deterioration that this disease did to a human being, I implore you to help in any way that you can. These diseases hit us without warning, and can often cut short or hinder what would have been wonderful lives.

This is my chance to do something for her and to honor her memory. My goal is to help others that have been diagnosed with rare disorders and to also help with research in order to prevent or cure these disorders.

Anything you can do to help will go a long way in saving a life.
