Mogien “Mo” Boyd, Executive Director of the Nebraska Commission on African

American Affairs, has previously appeared on our program and discussed the

challenges of uniting African Americans in Nebraska. Over the years, there have been

issues that demonstrate African Americans lack the political efficiency, as indicated by

the collective data from education, prison reform, adequate health care, and a myriad of

indicators that measure the quality of life. This Commission comprises a board of

directors, and MO's role is to facilitate and coordinate volunteers to advance its mission.

The Commission has developed an excellent strategic plan, but the jury is out on how to

implement it with limited staff, volunteers, and bandwidth. MO will provide feedback on

unanswered questions related to their public policy work.
