2025 has been a record year for us at the American Center for Mongolian Studies (ACMS).

Over the course of the year, we featured 14 experts from six different countries in our monthly Speaker Series, where they gave fascinating in-person lectures on Mongolian Studies topics. Summer 2025 was our busiest summer ever as we ran programs for groups from the University of Pennsylvania and UC Berkeley, operated four different Mongolia Field School sessions, provided top-notch Mongolian language instruction through our Intensive Summer Language Program, and much more.

And we kept up the momentum this fall by co-organizing the inaugural Under Shared Blue Skies: Mongolia and the North American West conference, which took place in downtown Denver November 7-9, 2025 and welcomed over 120 attendees each day to a variety of panels, presentations, poster and art displays, keynotes, and even a performance by Denver's own Ajnai Morin Khuur Ensemble.

We worked with well over 400 scholars, students, researchers, K-12 teachers, and lifelong learners this year--many of whom are bright young people who represent the future of Mongolian Studies.

Now as the year draws to a close, I ask you to consider this next generation as you think about where to give this holiday season. While we are often implored to "give back" at the holidays, this year I ask you instead to pay it forward.
