For 25 years, the Alpha Community Services YMCA Walk to End Homelessness has been more than a walk, it’s been a promise.

A promise that no one in our Greater Bridgeport community should be invisible. A promise that when families are forced into cars, shelters, or unsafe conditions, someone will show up. A promise that compassion, when paired with action, can change lives.

This milestone year marks tens of thousands of footsteps taken in solidarity with individuals and families experiencing homelessness, each step representing a meal served, a warm bed on a cold night, a case manager’s support, a path to permanent housing, and the dignity every person deserves. Behind every mile walked is a real story: a parent rebuilding stability, a veteran finding support, a neighbor finally opening the door to a place they can call home.
