A Heart 4 People’s mission is to seed, grow, and distribute fresh produce to feed senior citizens and families in need. Collaborating with churches, food pantries, food-rescue organizations, and community nonprofits, AH4P provides free produce, seeds, and grow kits throughout the region. In a joint effort to feed Prince George’s County community members in need, especially during this challenging time, Armonia’s Best is transforming the produce into breads, soups, and other delicious goods!

Our goal is to raise $10,000 to seed this effort so that no produce goes to waste, and that our people get fed!

More about A Heart 4 People (AH4P) Farm:

Farmer Michele, the founder of A Heart 4 People Farm (AH4P), has been gardening and growing food for personal use and volunteering since 2016. Her formal career in agriculture began in 2020 when she was hired by the Washington DC Department of Parks and Recreation as a Community Garden Specialist. In March 2023, she established AH4P on a 0.5-acre plot at the Watkins Regional Park Urban Farm Incubator in Upper Marlboro, MD. and in 2025, transitioned to an 8-acre site in Aquasco, MD. Michele’s motivation to start AH4P stems from her desire to honor the legacy of four nurturing and community-focused Black women in her family: Beatrice Johnson (great-grandmother), Evelyn Brown (maternal grandmother), Thelma Pitt (paternal grandmother), and Barbara Brown (great-aunt). Their values of care, giving, and community-building inspire AH4P’s mission to grow food for those who cannot feed themselves, particularly elders and senior citizens.

Armonia Farm is a developing collective in Central Virginia. As residents of the DMV region our intention is to provide support to Black communities in the DMV through: producing and providing value add products (including allergen-free and vegan), growing/supplying Black communities with organic, sustainably-grown produce and stewarding land in a regenerative way. Our members of the collective are equal partners in decision making, and serve in some capacity in the community based on their talents/expertise.

Armonia’s Best--an offshoot of Armonia Farm--is primarily directed by Cathy and Darienne Jordan as the value add producers, providing bakes, sweets and soups for customers, and -in partnership with A Heart 4 People-families in need. We serve a wide range of people: seasoned citizens, families, college students, and individuals of all ages.
