The Apricity Hope Project is proud of our non-traditional fundraising events like Camp: HOPE FULL. Back for the second year - our AHP Halloween Party! This year’s theme is Heroes vs Villains and we need you to be a hero for families of children who are fighting huge medical battles together.

You are invited to join the Apricity Hope Project on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Historic Granby Theater in Norfolk, VA for a spooky night of hope, fundraising and of course, costumes!

The Apricity Hope Project is a nonprofit organization based in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia. We would like to extend a partnership opportunity to you and your company to make an impact on families of medically complex, disabled children in our community. At AHP we believe that in order to truly care for disabled children, we must provide their parents with mental, physical and emotional health support.

As a medical mama myself, I am so incredibly grateful for all of the organizations that exist to help my children. After years spent in and out of children's hospitals, learning as much as I can about being a rare disease family, advocating and fundraising for mitochondrial disease research, losing my daughter at 5.5 years old and still caring for my son who also has mitochondrial disease… I am aware that there just is not enough support available for caregivers of medically complex and disabled kiddos. So I created it!

The Apricity Hope Project cares for caregivers in many ways:

Hospital Go-Bags and Care(Giver) Packages for parents who are in the ICU with their kids.
The When Autumn Comes Podcast: a popular podcast with over 40k unique downloads (as of summer 2024) for medical mamas, and the people who love them.
Restorative retreats for medical mamas at the Apricity Hideaway and meetups outside of the hospital setting!
Additionally, the Apricity Hope Project continues to fundraise for mitochondrial disease research that is taking place at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
