Meet AIMs Founders

Melissa Danielson and Jordan Guzman cofounded Art and Its Meaning (AIM) in 2021 from their yearning to cultivate a creative community that can give and receive inspiration, support, opportunity, and encouragement . They are both artists and alternative arts educators with 10+ years of combined experience in the arts community and alternative arts education in Broward County, FL.

Our mission is rooted in the belief that everyone, regardless of their background or artistic abilities, deserves the opportunity to nurture their well-being, tap into their creativity, and experience profound personal growth through the arts. We stand firm in our commitment to providing inclusive, accessible avenues for self-discovery, recognizing the inherent value of self-care and artistic exploration in enriching the lives of individuals, families, and communities for years to come.

AIM is making profound contributions to the community by addressing key challenges through transformative art programs. In our Fluxus Artist Self-Care Program, we recognize the struggles artists face, such as burnout and creative blocks. We offer tailored events and workshops to provide self-care practices, emotional support, and artistic exploration. For children and families, our Petite Apprentice Program fosters bonding and wellness, offering interactive events and workshops that promote self-care and artistic expression, strengthening family connections. Additionally, our Illuminate program extends self-care opportunities to non-artists, creating a welcoming space for artistic exploration and self-expression.
