Hi! My name is AJ Pesce. During the month of February, instead of receiving birthday gifts, I raise money for a good cause. This year, I turn 15 on the 14th and it will be my 6th fundraiser. I will be raising money for Blythedale Children's Hospital. In the past, was able to raise almost $2,000 which helped fund exciting events, such as a traveling petting zoo, for the children at Blythedale, as well as $3,740 to fund birthday boxes and other customized birthday surprises for Blythedale's patients who spend their birthday at Blythedale.

Sports have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. The thought of not being able to play sports is very sad and disappointing. That is why the fundraiser I chose for Blythedale this year is really important to me and I know it will make the kids there very happy.

The amazing teams at Blythedale are looking to bring more sports & activities to their patients. The money I raise from my birthday fundraiser will enable them to purchase more adaptive sports gear and equipment. Adaptive sports equipment is anything that allows them to support patient/resident engagement in a variety of ways to promote independence. The money you donate will allow them to use traditional ways of adaptation like adjustable floor hockey sticks or table top activities, but also give them a creative and fun way to bring sports to their program, like inflatable skee-ball and simulated activities.

I am excited to help bring these things to Blythedale and hope you will help me meet my goal!
